Wait for

Who is Graphic Design for? - A selected few?

Graphic Design is often seen on a huge scale through advertising, magazines and an ongoing list, but I really enjoy smaller ideas like this set of books designed by The Official Manufacturing company. Each of the 30 sets made they consist of 3 books with a letterpressed chipboard band labelled with the edition number on each title page,

"Wait For It is a collection of analog photography. These were bound and assembled in a limited edition of thirty by Publication Studio in Portland, Oregon. Each set of three books are bound together with a letterpressed chipboard band and enumerated with the edition number on the title page. Each book, one for each of us, lists the cameras used and is an assemblage of personal favorites from the last several years. Purchase a copy in our shop."

"We printed all kinds of parts: cranks, chains, cables, wheels, handlebars and even a seat. It was well worth the trip to One On One Bike to scavenge suitable parts from their basement bike bone yard."

"In addition to the DVD, YouWorkForThem also sent over what appeared to be a newspaper but turned out to be a stack of beautiful newsprint posters. A total of 8 double-sided prints. Please, excuse these photos I was in a bit of a hurry and shot them off the wall in my kitchen. Thanks you guys!"

This is the first serie of our collection of artistic icons. An art project that wants to take the most synthetic graphics, icons, to another level. Images of objects and things related to our day to day, because they define us and talk about our lives.

"September 2010 was the first European Artcrank Poster show, the poster party for bike people. We exhibited this hand screen printed poster as a part of the event. The event has been a huge success in America and this success was mirrored at the London show."

Module Info

Links to the relevant information for each module and the briefs for a checklist for each module folder design. Years and dates made relevant for next years first years and using the information in relation to this year - any changes could be edited using the updated calendar for next year. I decided not to do each sub brief e.g. Alphabet Soup - Typeface, Alphabet Soup - Illustrator because I think it gives away to much information about the upcoming briefs.

This is the written content for each of the pack designs -  I still need to think about what physical items could be useful for each things making sure they are relevant to keeping first year students more organised.

Also there are modules for Contextual & Theoretical studies - CTS // Personal & Professional Development PPD but Im not sure if i should include these in the pack. I might just include work for CTS because PPD has far less significance at the start of the year. However if the pack is there to get the students organised I need to make sure I attempt this to the best of my ability. Here is the information for each module in case I need it.
