Mediations (towards a remake of Soundings), 1979/1986 found on 'Gary Hill' Vimeo account.

While researching sound for my book I came across this, it's interesting to see how the sound and speech effects the sands movement. I defiantly want to start exploring how sound effects shape and colour but I want to explore it in its own right first.

"The beginning of a remake of an earlier work [Soundings, 1979] in which I wanted to extend the reflexivity of each text in relation to the interaction between different physical substances—in this case, sand—and the speaker cone"

Because of the brief requirements, that it needs to be a book format, I need to think about how I could convert this into print, or how I could explore the format of a book to make it more appropriate. Looking into the different ways sounds are visualised could be something to focus my research on.
