Compounds

A brief bit of research into vinyl before its cut to records...
I don't think the written stuff will come into my work but I like the idea of playing with chemical formulas. Might be interesting to think about the process of making a vinyl from the start to taking the record out and playing it - the vinyl experience.

 A vinyl compound is any organic compound that contains a vinyl group (Preferred IUPAC name ethenyl). Vinyl groups (formula −CH=CH2) are derivatives of ethene, CH2=CH2, with one hydrogen atom replaced with some other group. An industrially important example is vinyl chloride, precursor to PVC, a plastic commonly known as "vinyl".
